Venture Capitalists vs. Native Americans

If you would like to continue today's post-simulation discussion, this is the place. Here are some of the questions that I asked or would have liked to ask, but feel free to venture into other questions/topics as well.

Was either group successful? Was there a possibility of resolution?
What were some of your frustrations?
What perceptions and stereotypes exacerbated the conflict?

No group was successful. However, the capitalists were the closest to being successful, and had the situation been real, we would have succeeded. There was only one resolution: We take the land, becuase the law is on our side. Clearly, the US gov't favors progress and they saw the land in the same color as we did, and that was green. My main frustration was that some people were not taking it realistically, suggesting that we nuke the Indians, saying that using "military force" would get us what we wanted. The way I would have handled it was this. I would have had me, kyle, shannon (our leaders) and Spencer, and whoever there leaders were, sitting at a table without outside input. I would have had us isolate the area that the roses were grown in, and I would have given the Indians a large settlement and a percentage of our development's profits (or something else they wanted). I also would have like a share in the rose company.
The main stereotype that exacerbated the conflict was that the Indians always make decisions together. That negatively affected them and us becuase sentimentality often blocks progress. Our main stereotype that affected us was that we would have been so quick to use "military force" which would achieve our goals but make an enemy, not an ally. Allies can make you money, enemies can destroy you.

Man that sounds kindof smart.
